As a club we continue to compete very well in all the Benchrest competitions we have entered. We are now shooting the eighth round and nearing the end of the winter season with strong team performances. Pinhoe B and C winning their CTSA divisions. Multiple 1st place finishes across various individual competitions and consistently high rankings in the NSRA and Devon leagues.
CTSA Competitions (Round 5)
- Teams: Pinhoe B and C secured 1st place, while Pinhoe A and D finished 2nd in their respective divisions.
- Individuals: Notable finishes include 1st places for Tony Sprague, Jeff May, and Colin Jones, with several others in the top 5.
NSRA Team & Individual League
- Teams: Pinhoe A (4th), Pinhoe B (3rd), and Pinhoe C (5th).
- Individuals: Keith Langmead and Dawn Rice took 1st place in their divisions, while Andrew Vardon and Paula Robinson secured 2nd place.
Devon League (Round 6)
- Top Performers: 1st place finishes by Tony Sprague, Martin Bond, Sharon Hill, Keith Langmead, Reg Hill, and John Lewis.
- Other strong results: Several top 3 finishes, including Jeff May (2nd), Mati Chorazak (3rd), and Mark Savill (3rd).
We will shortly be looking for short range and long range entries for the summer seasons. You don’t need to be an experienced shooter to enter, so even if you haven’t shot competitively before, the summer is a good time time to give it a go.
Upcoming Matches
The next meeting away is the Okehampton Indoor Open on the 1st, 2nd, 8th and 9th March. This is an unusual and challenging 4 x 25yd and 4 x 25m shoot.
