The results from the Okehampton Indoor Open are in, and Pinhoe Target Shooting Club has delivered some exceptional performances. The competition saw impressive individual achievements and strong team results, demonstrating the dedication and skill of our shooters.
Outstanding Southwest Championship Performance
A particular highlight was Lindsay Agates, who claimed the prestigious Prone Southwest Champion title. Lindsay’s excellent performance also secured victories in both the Ladies and Veterans classes — a remarkable achievement that reflects her consistency, focus, and dedication.
Equally deserving of recognition is Roxy M, our talented junior shooter, who demonstrated remarkable composure and precision to win the Junior Championship. This outstanding result is a testament to Roxy’s hard work and potential, and we are incredibly proud of this achievement.
Also in the South West Championship, Robin Batten secured a respectable 3rd place and Peter Hobbs managed 5th.
Benchrest Performance
- The Pinhoe A team put in a strong showing, finishing with a commendable score of 2,339 points. With Tony Godden scoring an impressive 789 points, Chris Burrow delivering a solid 791 points and Kat Yates contributing 759 points.
- In Class B, Chris Burrow’s score of 791 points secured an impressive third-place finish. Additionally, Alan Wickens achieved a strong second place with 782 points and 15 X’s, showcasing excellent precision.
Prone Performance
- In the Prone Rifle Class B category, Roxy M once again impressed, securing 4th place (on count-back) with 764 points — an incredible result for a junior shooter competing at this level.
- Also in Class B, Robert Snaith shot a solid 762 points, followed by strong performances from Debbie Mackie (753) and the multi-disciplined Chris Burrow, who contributed 750 points.
- In Class C, R. Bird excelled with a score of 774 points, securing the top spot in their class and reinforcing their reputation for consistent, high-quality shooting.
