This weekend sees the start of the Prone and Benchrest Okehampton Indoor Open. Unless you can sweet talk the organiser… entries have already closed.
However, if you shoot LSR and Air Pistol then you have until the 10th March to enter the competition which is held over the 15th and 16th March. Don’t leave it too late as you might forget or the squads will be filled.
Looking ahead to April, we have a few competitions that start at the beginning of the month, so it’s a good idea to get ahead and consider entering:
- Yealmpton Open English Match held at Budleigh Farm on the 6th April.
- Torfaen Rifle Club Open Shoot which is a great 50m prone competition shot on ISSF 60 electronic targets. Also held on the 6th April at Long Ashton.
- Steel Challenge falling plate competition on the 12th and 13th April at Budleigh Farm
- The Pinhoe Bunny Shoot for Prone, Benchrest and LSR also held at Budleigh Farm on the 13th April. Quick and easy entry with our online form
If you are a novice or experienced shooter who would like to try shooting competitively then these early outdoor competitions are great fun and a gentle introduction to shooting in a match. Your scores don’t matter, it is the taking part that counts so speak to your section captain if you want to give it a go.
