Want to Improve Your Shooting

Some people walk into the Club and just get it – natural talent, steady hand, annoyingly consistent. Others have been shooting for decades and have refined their technique to near perfection… right up until the moment age, eyesight, or just plain stubbornness starts to catch up with them.

But for most of us, it’s not quite that straightforward. We turn up regularly, we enjoy our time on the range, and we sometimes wonder why one day everything clicks… and the next it’s like we’ve never picked up a rifle or pistol before. Sound familiar?

If you’re looking to improve your scores and shoot more consistently, the good news is: it can be done. But like anything worthwhile, it takes time – and a structured approach.

What Does Improvement Really Take?

Whether you’re aiming for higher competition scores or just want to be more consistent week to week, real progress comes from:

  • Accurate diagnosis – Understanding what’s really going wrong (and right).
  • Consistent coaching – regular support delivered by the same coach to keep you on track.
  • Negotiated strategies – Agreeing on clear, tailored actions to improve.
  • Plenty of practice – Both guided sessions and personal training time.
  • Record keeping – So you and your coach can track what’s working.
  • Balancing practice with competition – Knowing when to focus on process and when to focus on performance.

We’re Here to Help

One of the great strengths of our Club is the depth of experience within our membership. We’ve got qualified instructors across all target shooting disciplinesexperienced coaches, and dedicated shooters who are more than happy to share their knowledge and help others develop.

We’re also proud to be recognised as an NSRA Performance Club, which means we’re committed to supporting shooters who want to take their skills further and compete at a higher level.
