The Pinhoe Bunny Shoot returned on Sunday 13th April 2025 with a strong turnout across all classes. The day saw impressive marksmanship in both the English Match and the ever-unpredictable Rapid Rabbit event. As it’s the Bunny Shoot we forgo the usual class names and shoot in Rag, Tag and Bobtail.
Prone
In the Rag class, Lindsay Agates was the clear winner, dropping just 10 points overall and finishing first in both the main event and the Rapid Rabbit, where they only dropped 4. Mike Taylor and Pete Hobbs were neck and neck behind, both with 14 points dropped in total, but Mike secured 2nd place on count back.
The Tag class saw Debbie Mackie emerge victorious, keeping things tidy with 33 points dropped. Roxy M (Junior) came close with 38 and performed solidly across the board, while Paul Noakes wasn’t far behind on 39.
In the Bobtail class, it was Thomas Perry who took the win, dropping only 43 points across the event. Congratulations to 2nd place Myla Roman who shot extremely well for her first outdoor competition (51) and to Robert White (52) rounding out the top three.
Benchrest
The Rag class was extremely close. Keith Langmead just edged out the competition, dropping a mere 4 points in total and tying for first place in Rapid Rabbit with Eric Robinson, who followed just behind with 5 points dropped. Robert Harris took third, also with 5 dropped, but behind on count back.
In the Tag class, Keith Green came out on top with 7 points dropped, matched only by Keith and Eric from the Rag class in the Rapid Rabbit. Chris Burrow and Marilyn Ruberry followed in second and third, with scores of 8 and 11 respectively.
LSR
The Rag class saw Tibor Csapo dropping just 100 points and taking the win as well as a second place in the Rapid Rabbit. Dan Truscott came second dropping 141 points but came 3rd in the LSR Rapid Rabbit..
Finally, in the Tag class, Marcus Whiteley had an excellent outing, dropping only 115 points in total and topping the Rapid Rabbit as well with 24. Philip Pashute had a high-scoring round overall, dropping 295 in total but still managing and excellent showing in the rabbit round.
A Fun Event
Congratulations to all the shooters who took part — the results speak to the skill and focus on display throughout the day. As always, it was a great mix of friendly competition and bunny-bothering banter. It’s great to compete in this event and we all look forward to it again next year.
