Data Protection


The GDPR changes in May 2018 impose STRICT rules on data collectors.  PTSC takes the privacy of it's members very seriously.

Pinhoe Target Shooting Club may hold data about club members, visitors and people who compete in shooting events.

The type of data may include but may not be restricted to: Name, place & date of birth, postal and email addresses, phone numbers, FAC details, competition results, offices held, courses attended and details of officiating at competitions. Contact data is held to allow Pinhoe Target Shooting Club to function as a club, organise shooting and meet legal obligations. The data may be held in electronic or paper format. The data may be obtained directly from an individual person or the club which that person represents.

The data is used in organising the sport of target shooting and to carry out the functions of the club, including, but not limited to, mailing of literature, publication of competition results, coaching, team selection, training and appointment of officials.

Membership lists will be restricted to club officials. Data will not be shared outside of the committee without express permission from the individual.  A contact telephone list will be available in the clubhouse. Publication on publicly accessible web sites may include name, age/league class and club in competition results.  Names with offices and photographs may be published, but addresses, contact numbers and personal background details will published in an area to be protected with username and password, access to this area will be restricted to registered members.

The data will not be available for commercial purposes.  Data will be shared with the NSRA, Charity Commission and Firearms Licensing Agencies.

Data will be stored for 7 years after membership ends.  Your data can be updated or removed from the club database at any time, by written request to the club secretary or email at :
