The Club Instructor Skills Course is designed to equip aspiring instructors with the practical knowledge, techniques, and confidence needed to effectively support and guide new shooters at club level. This hands-on course focuses on teaching the core elements of Benchrest Rifle shooting—including range safety, equipment selection, holding, aiming, and firing techniques.

Whether you’re looking to share your experience or deepen your involvement in the sport, this course is a great opportunity to use your knowledge in a safe and responsible way. Alongside shooting techniques, you’ll also explore key aspects of communication, lesson planning, and creating a positive, supportive learning environment.

This course is ideal for individuals who already have some experience as a shooter, coach, or instructor. While the course does not carry NSRA certification, it follows many of the same principles and practices and provides a solid foundation for those wanting to instruct at their local club or range.

All participants must bring their own rifle (with appropriate sights), ammunition, and relevant equipment. It is the responsibility of each participant to ensure that their equipment and its transportation comply with current legal requirements.

Please note: This course is not affiliated with the NSRA and does not confer an NSRA Instructor qualification. However, participants will receive a Course Completion Certificate, which demonstrates they have covered the key principles of effective club-level instruction.
