
LSR Instructor Course
The Club Instructor Training Course is designed to give potential instructors the skills, knowledge and confidence required to become an effective club instructor. The course provides a comprehensive overview of how to teach club members to shoot Lightweight Sport Rifle (LSR) including choosing equipment, holding, aiming and firing technique.
This is a great opportunity for individuals who are interested in using their knowledge and passion for shooting in a safe, responsible manner. Instructors will also learn about the importance of proper communication in teaching, as well as ways to create a safe and enjoyable learning environment for their students. The course also covers how to design effective lesson plans that will keep your students engaged and motivated.
The course is suited to those with experience as a shooter, instructor or coach. Upon completion of the course, successful instructors will receive an NSRA Club Instructor Certificate. With this certificate, you can start instructing at your local club or outdoor range.
The course is open to all NSRA Annual or Lifetime members holding a current Range Conducting Officer (RCO) qualification. Or current members of the Scout Association and hold a valid YPST qualification. Those who are not members of either Scouting and/or the NSRA, or do not hold a current RCO (or YPST) qualification may complete the course and received a “BasicTechniques Certificate” which may subsequently be upgraded as and when the necessary membership / RCO (YPST) qualification is in place.
The qualification costs £130 £110 which includes your NSRA Club Instructor Training Pack and covers the cost of PTSC providing the course venue. The qualification is valid for 5 years.
Participants are required to bring their own rifles with appropriate sights, ammunition and related equipment to the course, it is for the participant to ensure the equipment and its transportation meets legal requirements.
