The Indoor Open Meeting 2023 incorporates the South West Championship is to be held at the Okehampton Smallbore Club Range between the 4th and 19th March 2023. Cash prizes across 26 individual and team competitions for Prone Rifle, Benchrest, Air Pistol and LSR target shooting disciplines.

Air Pistol and LSR Indoor Open Meeting

This event is open to Bona Fide members of Clubs affiliated to the NSRA except events 19 & 24 which are only open to residents of Avon, Channel Islands, Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucester, Somerset and Wiltshire. NSRA Rules & Regulations will govern the Meeting.

All scores will be displayed in the Club room. A score may be challenged on payment of £1 which will be refunded if the challenge is upheld.

Course of Fire

A combined 20yd Precision and 25m Sport Course with a 30 minute break between.

The 20yd Precision is a single sighter and then 4 competition cards shot in pairs, 10 shots each with 20 minutes for each pair, 40 shots in total.

The 25m Sport Course is of 30 shots Precision, 5 shots for sighters and then 6 sets of 5 shots in 5 minutes, followed by 25m rapid fire (turning targets) 4 seconds facing and 7 seconds edge, 5 shots for sighters and then 6 sets of 5 shots.

Pistol Events

Events 17 through 20 will be shot in 3 classes with cash prizes of not less than 40% of entry fees.

Lightweight Sport rifle (LSR) Events

LSR events 22-25 will be shot in 3 classes with cash prizes of not less than 40% of entry fees. Lightweight Sport Rifles with any sights of .22 Rimfire, undercover, bolt action or semi-automatic. Or .22/.177 air rifles. No additional equipment is permitted apart from a shooting glove.

Classification

Averages submitted to be ex. 100. We require substantiated averages, but if they are not available we ask that you submit a fair average that reflects your current performance. Classes will be allocated as the entry dictates, however entrants performing greatly in excess their submitted average may be reassessed. We would like to have a fair and level playing field for all competitors.

Please enter your Average Ex 100 and your Squadding preference character on the entry form. Squadding preferences will be allocated on a first come first served basis, so please send your entry as early as you can. You will be sent your Squadding details by email (if we can read it) or post if an SAE is provided or add 80p to cover postage.

Late entries may be possible, but choices may not be available.

Only the minimum data needed to operate the competitions will be used in the database, no information will be passed on to others not connected with the competition.
