For the first time Pinhoe Target Shooting Club is hosting an NSRA Club Coach Course. This is the highest pure teaching course the NSRA provides and is designed to support excellent teaching in your chosen shooting discipline.  

What to Expect

Held over two days, the course deals predominantly with communication and coaching techniques, building upon your Club Instructor qualification. Key topics include:

• Overview – Structure of British Shooting, Law, Safety, Equipment
• Presenting – Communication, Presentation Skills, Organisation
• Mechanics – General goals of body positioning, Process of firing a shot
• Coaching – Helping people to learn, Putting it all together a practical coaching session
• Administration – Code of conduct andGeneral documents

After candidates have completed this course, they will attend a one day assessment at a later date where they must deliver a 20 minute coaching session under observation in order to receive their Club Coach Qualification.

Entry Requirements

To enrol on this course you must be an Annual or Life member of the NSRA and hold a current NSRA Range Conducting Officer Qualification and Club Instructor Qualification in any target shooting discipline.
