If you have never shot before or even if you have, you can come along and try our “Give it a Go” course which is a great introduction to the Pinhoe Target Shooting Club and the world of Target Shooting.
Each course starts on the third Wednesday of each month and runs for four weeks. The course starts with an introductory session including a tour of our Club facilities, shooting range and safety briefing. It’s a good time to ask members about the various disciplines you can shoot and see how the Club works. You will also complete an application form and sign a Section 21 Declaration. This declaration is checked by Devon & Cornwall Constabulary and allows you to shoot without a Firearms Certificate on your subsequent visits.
After passing the Police check, your following three Wednesday evenings are spent on the range, shooting your chosen discipline of Prone Rifle, Bench Rest Rifle, Lightweight Sport Rifle or Air Pistol. Stick with one discipline for all three evenings or choose a different one, it’s entirely up to you and you will always be accompanied by a Club qualified instructor providing your rifle, ammunition (15 shots) and targets.
After your course, if you wish to continue then you can join the Club as a probationary member.
