Hi Fellow Members
Just when we are getting the hang of shooting under the new restrictions, the goalposts are moved again.
Unfortunately, the club will have to close for shooting from Thursday 5th Nov until the new lockdown is lifted, which we hope will be December 2nd. So our booking system is locked until we have confirmation that we can resume activities.
If you are shooting in a team and have cards to shoot, then again, unfortunately you cannot shoot them until December. Hopefully we will get extensions to the “shoot by” dates and your captains will be able to let you know what these might be.
Please keep an eye on our website as Ian is always updating with various things and we will be posting any info we have on the site as well as trying to get it to you directly.
On a slightly brighter note, the range build progresses, albeit at a slower rate than we would like, but at last we have been able to roll up our sleeves and start doing part of the fit-out ourselves.
The trades are continuing as much as they can over the lockdown period, as construction is permitted and if the restrictions are the same as last time self-build is also permitted. So our schedule is to have the outside cladding on week beginning the 16th November and the ceilings the following week. The electrics will be starting soon and it will be good to get power into the building.
We are a club and as such our commitment to our members runs beyond just the shooting aspect of the club. I am very aware that this new lockdown is going to be stressful once again both for its own sake and for the reason why it is happening. If we can do anything for you then please let Lindsay or myself know.
In the meantime
