Bideford English Match – Prone & Benchrest
The Competition
The course of fire will be 60 shots at 50-metres, and entries are invited for both prone and bench rest. Open to members of NSRA affiliated clubs. There are competitions for ladies, veterans, juniors, pairs and teams in both disciplines, as well as a “mixed pairs” event.

- Prone – targets used will be the 3-card system; competitors require their own bulldog clips
- Bench rest – targets used will be MM12CBR15 – competitors require bulldog clips for backers only.
- Bench rest tables will be provided
- Competitors are responsible for putting their own targets on the target frames; if assistance is required, please ask the range officer.

Conditions and Rules
All shooting is under the control of the Chief Range Officer and his assistants.
When uncased, all rifles must either have a breech flag inserted or the bolt/action removed until the command to commence fire is given by the CRO.
NSRA rules and regulations will apply except as below:
- Prone – ties will be decided on “countback”
- Bench Rest – ties will be decided firstly on “countback” and then on number of X’s.
Scores may be challenged, on payment of the challenge fee of £2, returnable if upheld. Challenges and any disputes will be considered by 3 members of the Range Committee, whose names will be displayed on the range, and decisions reached by them will be final.
The Range Committee also reserves the right to re- classify any competitor whose performance unreasonably exceeds his submitted average.
General Information
Important: entry into this meeting is confirmation that your contact details will be released on request to the appropriate authority as part of any “track and trace” measures in operation at the time, but to no other person or body.
There is ample car parking on site, and covered preparation areas; all areas have full disabled access, and all Covid-compliant measures will be in place.
A range of ammunition will be on sale. Light refreshments and drinks will also be on sale Prizes will be distributed after the meeting.
Squadding details will be sent by email, unless an s.a.e. is enclosed with the entry.
Results will also be notified by email unless a further s.a.e. is enclosed with the entry.
