The College of Policing are seeking public consultation on their updated guidance for firearms licensing. Their guidance has been updated following the introduction of new statutory guidance provided by the Home Office in 2021 and ahead of the full Coroner’s inquest into the Plymouth shootings which recently concluded in February this year.
They are seeking feedback from members of the shooting community as well as Chief Constables, officers and staff who work in firearms licensing departments. The closing date for feedback is 10th March 2023 and you can find the feedback questionnaire on their website.
A change to provide some constructive feedback on firearms licensing that is sure to affect many of us in the future.
