Jersey 2019
26 October 2019
A group of Devon Shooters including four from Pinhoe Target Shooting Club have just returned from Jersey after competing in the annual outdoor Jersey open shoot.
Both Devon and Jersey were fielding Commonwealth Games and GB standard shooters.
The competition was run over 3 days and the conditions were very testing with gale force winds up to force 6.
The aggregate was won by a Devon Shooter, Peter Hobbs of Yealmpton. The final was very exciting and it was literally won on the very last shot of the completion with only one point between the winner and second place. The ladies was won by Lindsay Agates of Pinhoe a former Commonwealth Games competitor.
Mike Taylor of Pinhoe and Peter Hobbs won the pairs competition, again by only one point, and another Pinhoe shooter Chris Burrow won his class.
