Just a reminder that the Long Range Rifle competition will be running throughout August, with a finals Weekend in September.
The six Qualifying events at venues around the country – Appleton, Budleigh Farm, Coxwold, Denwood, Sywell and Worplesdon will be running a Double Dewar, in Classes X to D and prizes will be awarded to the top three in each class (subject to entries) at each venue. These prizes will be cash, not vouchers, of £25 for first Place, £15 for second place and £10 for third place in each class.
In addition to this the top three in each class will be invited to the National Class Final, which will be held at Sywell. If you shoot at more than one venue and gain a top three placing more than once, then only the first finals invite will be awarded to you. Your second and any subsequent quota places will be given to the highest scoring competitor in the class who does not already have a finals invite.Also, there will be an invite for the top scoring 40 competitors selected from all the regions (approx 7 from each regional event, based on the average of the top 25% of scores from each venue) for a Championship style final also to be held at Sywell.
The final will run over two days – Saturday 11 September will be the final for the top three from each Class, in classes. (eg. max 18 in each class) and cash prizes again be awarded in each class for the top three scores in each class (£50 for first place, £25 for second place and £15 for third place). The Championship style final will be run on the Sunday 12 September and cash prizes will be awarded to the top four scores from this final. £150 for first place, £100 for second place, £75 for third place and £50 for fourth place)
Best of all, the finals will be free! Once you have paid your regional entry for the event, if you qualify, then you will be invited to compete in the Finals, free, gratis!
