With the winter behind us and the first signs of sunshine creeping through the range doors, it’s time for a proper round-up of how our Benchrest shooters have fared, both at County and National level.
The Club 50m Benchrest Competition is now just past the halfway mark, with Tony Sprague currently leading the field. Still a few cards left to shoot, so it’s all to play for.
As many of you will have seen from the Committee WhatsApp notice, I’ve been working to sort a few lingering issues before the summer season kicks off. I’ve had no questions or complaints, so I’ll take that as a quiet thumbs-up and hope there’ll be no problems going forward.
With that in mind, I’m pleased to confirm: the Summer Benchrest Competitions are now underway.

It’s been a strong showing so far, and as always, it’s the time spent on the firing line — quietly refining groupings, adjusting for wind, and logging shot after shot — that builds these results. Keep at it, and good luck for the rest of the summer series.
